1. Introduction

Welcome to CourierAPP. By using our app, you agree to these terms of service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

2. Definitions

  • Platform / CourierAPP: The website courierapp.gr and our iOS, Android and Web apps.
  • User: Any individual or business using our app.
  • Shipment: A parcel, envelope, suitcase or laptop sent through the Platform.
  • Courier Partner: The third-party courier company (e.g. DHL) that performs the physical pickup and delivery.
  • Recipient: The person who receives the shipment at the destination.

3. The Service

CourierAPP operates as an aggregator of international shipments. We connect users with leading international courier networks, providing:

  • Shipping to 38 countries (Greece, Cyprus and 36 European countries)
  • 6 service categories (Envelope, Parcel Express, Parcel Economy, Laptop, Suitcase Express, Suitcase Economy)
  • Pickup directly from the user’s location
  • Prices up to 70% lower than each courier company’s counter
  • Real-time tracking and notifications
  • Basic insurance through the courier partner

CourierAPP does not perform deliveries itself. Physical transport is carried out exclusively by the partner courier companies under their own terms.

4. User Account

  • Using the app requires creating an account with a valid email and phone number.
  • You are responsible for the security of your access credentials.
  • You must be over 18 or have lawful guardian consent.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an account in the event of a breach of these terms.

5. Shipping Process

  • You select a service category in the app.
  • You enter the dimensions, weight, and pickup and delivery address.
  • You choose the delivery speed (Express or Economy).
  • You declare the content value and any premium insurance.
  • You pay online.
  • You confirm the pickup time.
  • You track the shipment in real time until delivery.

6. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are shown in the app before you confirm the booking.
  • There are no hidden charges. The price you see is the price you pay.
  • Accepted payment methods: debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay.
  • We do not accept cash or cash on delivery.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant).
  • In the event of an incorrect weight/dimension declaration, the courier company re-measures the parcel — the price difference is charged or refunded automatically.

7. Invoices

After each successful payment, a receipt is sent to your email. For a business VAT invoice, fill in your VAT number and company name in your profile before booking.

8. Pickup & Delivery

  • Pickup is carried out by the courier partner within the selected time window.
  • You are responsible for packaging the parcel appropriately.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the delivery address. An incorrect address may lead to extra charges from the courier company.
  • If delivery fails, the courier makes 2–3 attempts before returning the parcel to the sender with a return charge.

9. Insurance

  • All shipments include basic insurance through the courier partner.
  • For higher coverage, choose premium insurance by declaring the content value before booking.
  • Compensation claims must be submitted within 14 days of delivery or the declared loss date.

10. Prohibited Items

The following may not be shipped:

  • Weapons, explosives, narcotics
  • Flammable or toxic materials
  • Perishable food and live animals
  • Cash, securities, valuables
  • Biological fluids, radioactive materials
  • Illegal or counterfeit items

The Platform and the courier partner reserve the right to refuse any shipment containing prohibited items.

11. Customs (non-EU shipments)

For destinations outside the European Union (e.g. United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway):

  • You must complete a content description and value in the app.
  • Customs charges/taxes may be requested from the recipient.
  • You are responsible for the correct declaration of the contents.

12. User Responsibilities

The user undertakes to:

  • Provide true and valid information.
  • Pack parcels appropriately so they withstand international transport.
  • Not ship prohibited items.
  • Respect third-party intellectual property.
  • Not violate the laws of the country of origin or destination.

13. Platform Liability

  • CourierAPP guarantees the faithful transfer of shipment details to the courier partner.
  • CourierAPP is not liable for damage caused by poor packaging or an incorrect content declaration.
  • CourierAPP is not liable for delays due to force majeure (strikes, extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics, etc.).

14. Cancellations

  • Before pickup: Free cancellation. Full refund within 5–10 business days.
  • After pickup: Cancellation charges from the courier company apply (usually part of the cost).
  • Undeliverable parcels are returned to the sender with a return charge.

15. Intellectual Property

All Platform content (logos, images, texts, code) is the intellectual property of CourierAPP and is protected by the relevant law. Reproduction without written permission is prohibited.

16. Personal Data

The collection and processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy in accordance with the GDPR (Regulation 2016/679).

17. Amendments to the Terms

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Significant changes are communicated via email or within the app at least 30 days before they take effect.

18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Greek Law. In the event of a dispute, the Courts of Heraklion, Crete have jurisdiction.
